Lupus Alert Awards

Lupus Alert was awarded the Mauritius Council of Social Service Outstanding NGO Award in 2003 and the most Outstanding Volunteer Award by the Mauritius Council of Youth Leaders in 2004 and in 2009.

Lupus Alert has received the International Lifetime Achievement Award in the control of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) on 26th June 2010 during the 9th International Congress on SLE held in Vancouver. This award is given to “an individual, group or institution who by word, example, or act has advanced the worldwide effort to understand, treat and/or prevent SLE or its consequences”.

For her extraordinary work in disease awareness and patient advocacy, Dalilah Kalla of Mauritius was named the 2011 Junior Chamber International (JCI) Outstanding Young Person of Mauritius and a 2011 Junior Chamber International (JCI) Ten Outstanding Young Persons of the World (JCI TOYP) recipient in the category of humanitarian and/or voluntary leadership.

World Health Congress recognizing Lupus Alert with the Mauritius Healthcare Leadership Award. The Mauritius Healthcare Leadership Awards is intensely researched process undertaken by the research cell which consists of Postgraduates in History & Management with over 5 years research experience posts their studies. It is the iconic job of the research cell to produce a shortlist of Individuals who are doing extraordinary work and track the record of their achievements. The shortlist is then reviewed by a Jury comprising of senior professionals from across the globe.
